ACTION ALERT – Urge CA Senate to Pass AB 1806: Investigate Fatal ICE and Border Patrol Shootings

Felony Murder Elimination Project asks our advocates and supporters to help us take action today and urge the California State Senate to Pass AB 1806: Investigate Fatal ICE and Border Patrol Shootings.

78 partner organizations currently support Assembly Bill (AB) 1806 (Gabriel), which would require the California Attorney General to conduct an independent, transparent, and complete investigation into fatal shootings of civilians in California by ICE or Border Patrol agents. The bill is facing challenges and your help is needed to ensure this important mechanism for holding immigration agents accountable moves forward.

FMEP is reaching out to ask for your support in urging Senator Sabrina Cervantes (SD31 – Riverside & San Bernadino Counties), Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, and Senate Pro Tem Monique Limón (SD21 – Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties) to PASS AB 1806 (Gabriel) out of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

ACTION STEPS:

  • Call Senator Cervantes’ Office at (916) 651-4031 to urge the passage of AB 1806 (Gabriel)
  • Call Senate Pro Tem Limon’s Office at (916) 651-4021 to urge the passage of AB 1806 (Gabriel)

AB 1806 is a concrete step towards safeguarding the rights of Californians amid the Trump’s administration’s lawless and deadly mass raids and deportations.
