Felony Murder Elimination Project offers to our advocates and supporters the Initiate Justice Voter Education Toolkit for California voters. At a time when we are seeing such rampant voter disenfranchisement unfold across the country in places like Tennessee and Louisiana, it is extremely important that our communities have clear, accessible information about voting and civic participation in California.
As we all prepare for upcoming elections that will see voters choose elected representatives up and down the ballot, from federal representation to local policymakers, the non-profit organization Initiate Justice wants to ensure our communities are fully informed before making any decisions at the ballot box.
Voting is one way our communities help shape the policies and decisions that affect everyday life. But for many people, the voting process can feel confusing or unfamiliar, especially if it has been a long time since you last voted, or if no one ever showed you how the process works. To support the community, we Initiate Justice created various voter education resources to help with understanding the when, where and how when it comes to voting.
One of those resources is the brand new Initiate Justice Voter Education Toolkit, created to provide accessible, community-centered information about how voting works in California and how to participate in the June 2, 2026 statewide primary election. This toolkit is focused on voter education, civic participation, and helping community members navigate the voting process.
This toolkit can support:
